Red Cedar Flats is conveniently located less than a mile from Michigan State University, or about a 9-minute walk or 3-minute drive. The Lake Lansing walking trail connects directly to campus, so you can take in scenic, breathtaking views of nature on your way to libraries, lecture halls, and university landmarks. This way, students can wake up, get ready, hit the road, and arrive to class in no time.
Individual housing contracts offer greater peace of mind. With individual leasing, residents can rest assured that they are only financially responsible for their own space and share of the common areas. In the event that a roommate transfers to another school or moves out, the student does not have to worry about covering their portion of monthly installments.
It is easy and convenient to submit work orders at Red Cedar Flats. Simply log in to your resident portal and fill out a maintenance request. You can also call the leasing office or stop by the front desk in person.
Our apartments are fully furnished and contain granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an in-unit washer and dryer. We recommend bringing your own bedding, dishes, toiletries, cookware, cleaning supplies, study materials, and decorations to truly make your new space feel like home.
Free parking is available for Red Cedar Flats residents. We also have covered bike and Ebike parking available.

No roommate? No problem! Our complimentary roommate matching service pairs compatible students together, so you can live with someone who shares your interests, living preferences, and daily routine. Contact our leasing office today for more information on our Roommate Matching program.
Your monthly installment is due on the 1st of each month. You may choose from three payment options: pay in full as a single lump sum (due August 1), pay in two semester installments (due August 1 and January 1), or pay in 12 equal monthly installments (beginning August 1 and continuing on the 1st of each month for the next 11 months).
Residents can pay their monthly installments with a personal check, money order, cashier’s check, or through our online resident portal.
